Hoya Saxa!

Welcome to Georgetown. If you are new to our community or are returning to remember your years on the Hilltop, we hope that this website will serve as the home for documenting the rich history and tradition of Georgetown.

With so many exciting events it's impossible for one person to know everything about Georgetown's history. In fact, you may not be aware that:

  • Healy Hall was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1987.
  • The Tombs was established as an eating club in 1962 by Richard McCooey (COL'52).
  • The University experienced severe housing shortages in 1943-44 in which buildings that normally housed 600 students were occupied by nearly 1500.

We hope that this Web site will serve as a resource for documenting the history and tradition of the Hilltop.
